Statue of Saint Paul

The representation of the Apostle Saint Paul holds in his right hand a large sword, the instrument of his martyrdom. Located on the south-east corner of the spire base, this copper statue was designed by Eugene Viollet-le-Duc, sculpted by Adolphe Victor Geoffroy-Dechaume and produced by the Ateliers Monduit in 1861.
